Beyond the Horizon
I designed this package of materials for the launch of a think tank, organized by the Higher Learning Commission (the Higher Learning Commission is the largest college accreditor in the United States). This think tank is part of a strategic plan called Beyond the Horizon. The branding for this strategic plan is based on the image of a compass. When I came to HLC, I revitalized the branding of this strategic plan, creating a logotype that incorporated the compass into the words "Beyond the Horizon." When designing the think tank materials, I featured the compass in each piece, creating a visually cohesive package. I used the shape of the compass to inform my design, incorporating circles into the iconography and layout of the materials. I also referenced the concept of a horizon in the design of the box, setting the letters on a color field of purple.
